The five supporters of the festival from the first years of its life- Andreou, Theodosakis, Trivolis, Kontrafouris and Ktistakis- come to the festival stage under the direction of the newcomer on Tinos Andreas Thermos.    The band members having in common their mutual favorite music path will present selected pieces from well-known compositions by Roy Hargrove, Freddie Hubbard, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Tom Waits and others. The music has been arranged for 3 horns, giving more strength and dynamics to the tunes for a powerful live music result and show!    The group was created in 2018 by the common desire of the musicians for a project that will give a different tone to pieces that they already like as well as some originals. After Chaidemenos mastered the classical piano in Athina Conservatory, he completed his jazz piano studies in 2,5 years at Praxis Conservatory. He then received a masters degree in Jazz Performance after graduating from Ionian University of Corfu and that same year (2016) recorded his first album &lt;em&gt;Remains (Live) &lt;\/em&gt;at the radio show &lt;em&gt;Jazz in the City&lt;\/em&gt;. Some years later came his second album &lt;em&gt;New Era&lt;\/em&gt;. Growing up as a jazz musician his inspirations were mainly from the jazz tradition: Oscar Peterson played a major role as well as Chick Corea and Mulgrew Miller.  &lt;em&gt;Caravan&lt;\/em&gt;, his third album, was recorded in a difficult and strange time, during the 2020-2021 pandemic. The title\u2019s reference to the well-known verse of the poet C. P. Cavafy (&lt;em&gt;Ithaca&lt;\/em&gt;) signals the artist\u2019s poetic approach vis-\u00e0-vis the depiction of Cycladic islands, including &lt;strong&gt;Mykonos&lt;\/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;Tinos.&lt;\/strong&gt;    The works exhibited are the culmination of the artist\u2019s long research into the &lt;strong&gt;\u201cEndless Landscape\u201d.&lt;\/strong&gt; To quote him: \u201cThe landscape has always been a source of inspiration for me. I admire its variety and diversity. The seas and the fallow islets, the dry-stone walls and the meadows, the sandy beaches, the cliffs and the valleys seen from above are an evolution of my Endless Landscape, which I have been working on for many years\u201d.    Zoumboulakis uses an almost cinematic narrative, depicting nature either from a bird\u2019s eye view perspective or with close-ups. Every painting function as an autonomous expression while being integrated in an endless visual universe, without beginning or end. Thus, he invites viewers to function interactively and use their imagination to fill the \u201cgaps\u201d of the changeable visual composition. The five supporters of the festival from the first years of its life- Andreou, Theodosakis, Trivolis, Kontrafouris and Ktistakis- come to the festival stage under the direction of the newcomer on Tinos Andreas Thermos.    The band members having in common their mutual favorite music path will present selected pieces from well-known compositions by Roy Hargrove, Freddie Hubbard, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Tom Waits and others. The music has been arranged for 3 horns, giving more strength and dynamics to the tunes for a powerful live music result and show!    The group was created in 2018 by the common desire of the musicians for a project that will give a different tone to pieces that they already like as well as some originals. It contains interesting arrangements for six performers that follows the Jazz tradition with a more contemporary aesthetic including pop, blues and gospel vibes on the show. Although he earned his first degree at Informatics &amp; Telecommunications in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, he never worked in the field.    After Chaidemenos mastered the classical piano in Athina Conservatory, he completed his jazz piano studies in 2,5 years at Praxis Conservatory. He then received a masters degree in Jazz Performance after graduating from Ionian University of Corfu and that same year (2016) recorded his first album &lt;em&gt;Remains (Live) &lt;\/em&gt;at the radio show &lt;em&gt;Jazz in the City&lt;\/em&gt;. Growing up as a jazz musician his inspirations were mainly from the jazz tradition: Oscar Peterson played a major role as well as Chick Corea and Mulgrew Miller.  &lt;em&gt;Caravan&lt;\/em&gt;, his third album, was recorded in a difficult and strange time, during the 2020-2021 pandemic. This is one of the reasons why Chaidemenos believes the trio sounds fresh and passionate. The title of the album is inspired by a note at the end of the score of jazz musician Paolo Damiani&#039;s track \u201cRound a Turn\u201d, \u201cImprovisazione intorno alla propria linea verso un area piu libera e rarefatta\u201d which means: \u201cImprovisation around one&#039;s own line towards a freer and rarefied area\u201d. Tinos World Music Festival was inaugurated in 2013 on the island of Tinos and is organised by the Cultural Foundation of Tinos and the cultural organisation Creative Musical Island. It has hosted over 100 musicians from Greece and abroad and has been attended by hundreds of spectators from all over the world. The artistic director of the festival is Martha Mavroidi.    With \u201c&lt;em&gt;Transformations&lt;\/em&gt;\u201d the festival aims to give prominence to the new musical community growing around the traditional music of Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean, seeking new ways of artistic expression. Traditional instrument virtuosi who develop the techniques of their instruments, &lt;em&gt;transforming&lt;\/em&gt; the traditional musical idioms and creating new musical genres, each one marking the result with their own particular artistic identity. Musicians from this community rarely have the opportunity to present their work at an institution that is dedicated to such genres. The \u201c&lt;em&gt;Transformations&lt;\/em&gt;\u201d cycle will consist of three different editions of the festival (&lt;em&gt;Transformations I, II, III&lt;\/em&gt;), in three consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024) and will include concerts and educational activities in various locations of Tinos. The goal of the three-year cycle is to provide a platform where new musical trends will interact with one another through musical partnerships and educational activities, but will also get in touch with a wide audience, creating a musical network that includes both the local community of Tinos and the nearby islands, as well as an ever-growing audience from other regions of Greece and abroad.    Tinos World Music Festival continues its educational programmes for the second year, organizing two workshops on folk music taught by two of the most experienced folk musicians of the new generation. On the occasion of the centenary of the Asia Minor catastrophe, Dionysia Papouli will do a workshop on traditional songs on the topic \u201cFrom Asia Minor to the Aegean\u201d with songs that traveled from Asia Minor and were integrated in the repertoire of the music of the islands. The first day of the festival is dedicated to instruments that played an important role in the musical traditions of Asia Minor. Through the eyes of young creators, these instruments find their place in contemporary musical creation.    &nbsp;    &lt;strong&gt;Naseem Trio&lt;\/strong&gt;    Naseem Trio is a newly formed collaboration of three musicians with a shared inclination towards influences regardless of direction and geographical orientation and with a strong desire for musical dialogues and improvisation within the framework of original compositions. Dimitri Mikelis plays the oud and piano. As a musician, he has delved into both performing and composing, as well as teaching, throughout his career. His choice of instruments suggests the dual identity of his education and later his career, where the influences of Western and Eastern musical idioms ultimately act as a catalyst in the formation of his aesthetic and personality as a performer and creator. Perhaps we belong to an impromptu category that I would call Aegean World Jazz, because in terms of music we let ourselves to be carried away by the currents of the Aegean Sea, which sometimes lead us to the Bosporus, sometimes to the Libyan Sea and sometimes to the Atlantic Ocean\u201d, says composer and founder of the quartet Tasos Poulios.
